Do you want to become a doctor someday? You have to be sure with the steps that you will take in order for you to become a licensed doctor. You will have to strive hard and excel so that you will pass all of the phases of medical school.

All of the Arcadia doctors started with their premedical course. Four years of premedical program that consist of laboratory sessions and lectures about science courses are needed in order for you to become equipped in entering medical school. Aside from passing your premedical course, you would still need to take the Medical School Admissions Test or MCAT. Your verbal reasoning is assessed as well as your knowledge in Chemistry and Physics. You also have to get a high mark in the test that is connected to Organic Chemistry and Biology. Once you are able to pass this test, you will now be eligible to apply to a medical school.

During the first two years in your medical course, you will have the wide perspective about the medical field. You will learn about its history as well as how to assess patients and diagnose their diseases. There are schools or universities that provide a test that will determine if you can progress into your third year. The last two years will allow you to become more knowledgeable with the specifics of each of the specialties in medicine. After graduation, it is now the time that you find a hospital where you will undergo your residency training.
